Healthy eating: doing it wrong?
So I am on another health kick, because it is almost fall and I always seem to get the urge to CHANGE MY LIFE! when the seasons change. This time, though, I’m trying to do it in a sustainable way; I’m not counting calories or daily nutritional values or even portion sizes, I’m just trying to make the bulk of my diet Things That are Good For Me and no more mainlining Dr. Pepper while devouring brownie bites in my office at 3pm.
But it is my second day, and every time I eat one of my healthy, non-frozen-Marie-Calendars meals, I get so sleepy I want to take a nap then and there. Am I missing some key element? Has my body just totally forgotten how to process food without some kind of immediate sugar kick? Am I actually an alien who requires processed junk foods to survive?
