The animation is less than stellar, but the plot intrigued me: physically injured girls abandoned by their families (some with no families at all) are taken in by a government sponsored organization with the front of aiding in their rehabilitation. This agency, however, is actually a military organization specializing in counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism.
I love Gunslinger Girl! I thought they did a good job of showing both perspectives from the “brother’s” POV; from wanting to treat the girls like people and even children, to not wanting to get attached because of the nature of their work.
And episode 3 reduced me to ridiculous tears.
